Congratulations! You’re engaged!
What better way to commemorate this special time than with a beautiful photoshoot?
Amidst the whirlwind of wedding planning, it's essential to savor the joy of your engagement, and we want to ease the process by walking you through the first step; engagement photos!
Step 1: Pick a location
We have a few favorite spots, but we can take pictures just about anywhere. Locations can be special to you. Coffee shops you love, buildings you can’t stop looking at, places that mean something to you as a couple.
In the Greenville area, we have a few standout recommendations, including M. Judson, the Grand Bohemian Lobby, Falls Park, The Rock Quarry Garden, and the parking garage next to Grace Church. While these are among our team of photographer’s favorites and our couple’s favorites, the beauty of engagement photography lies in discovering and capturing the essence of your connection in the places that hold meaning for you.
Step 2: Pick an outfit or multiple
For a versatile engagement photoshoot, we suggest preparing two outfits: one featuring a dress, and another more casual outfit, such as jeans paired with a top. Dresses add a touch of elegance and fluidity to your photos, while jeans offer opportunities for unique poses, like lying down or being lifted up.
When selecting your outfits, it's essential to consider the overall aesthetic you envision for your photos. While patterns can sometimes distract or clash with the scenery, opting for neutral and solid-colored attire can enhance the timeless beauty of your images. By keeping your outfits simple and understated, the focus remains squarely on the love and connection between you and your partner.
Step 3: Have fun!!
We can make your engagement shoot as fun or unique as you want! Props? all for them. Champagne? Let’s pop it.
A few ideas for props include: a wooden chair, a blanket, champagne and glasses, polaroid camera , and many more!
Engagement shoots are meant to help you feel relaxed and get you comfortable in front of the camera. They’re a time to have fun and let loose.
Lets create some magic
together ;)
